Below, you will find a brief biography of each of our wonderfully skilled private instructors. All of our instructors have received special training and are well equipped to handle all kinds of unique students. Additionally, our brilliant team of instructors have pursued or are currently pursuing higher education. We at Busy Bee Tutoring pride ourselves in having such phenomenal people on our team.

Experience
Beginning as a volunteer in 2005 at Tuttle Elementary in Sarasota, FL, Ms. Barringhaus served as an intern at Rowlett Magnet Elementary and Daughtrey Preparatory School of Arts & Sciences in Bradenton, FL in 2007 where she earned Highly Effective marks. From 2008 to 2011, Ms. Barringhaus served as a long-term substitute teacher at Daughtrey and Tillman Elementary in Palmetto, FL. From 2011 to 2013, Ms. Barringhaus was a full-time teacher at Tillman and after briefly serving as a long-term substitute, she became a full-time teacher at Freedom Elementary School in Bradenton, FL from 2014.
Ms. Barringhaus started teaching as a second career after moving to Florida. Her first career was deeply rooted in business for more than 32 years. Ms. Barringhaus’ developed a progressive career with leading Fortune 500, start-up companies and professional services firms in St. Louis, MO; New York, NY; Sarasota, FL; and, Frankfurt/ Wiesbaden, Germany. A sampling of her company and client roster includes IBM, Computer Associates, AT&T, Thomson Publishing, Ameritech, VW and eKabel. Ms. Barringhaus specialized in account management, sales and marketing, customer service, customer relationship management (CRM) and project management.
Motivation
Unwavering passion to help children exceed their potential through experiential learning and real books; helping the learner to go beyond simple memorization, toward understanding, application, and competence. Compassion for parents who want their children to learn in an active process in which the learner actively constructs knowledge as they try to comprehend their world.
Biography/ Interests
Developing and running small businesses, teaching swim and school, mentoring staff.
Ms. Barringhaus is also owner of School Of Fish Swimming Lessons which has been serving Sarasota and Manatee county for more than 18 years. She started teaching swimming lessons at age sixteen, when she launched her first swim school SPLASH! with a focus on infants, children, and adults with special needs.
Ms. Barringhaus estimates her small businesses have led to employing and mentoring more than 30 young men and women about business, community service and the lifelong benefits gleaned from education and water safety. Many of the mentees are or have been inspired to become school teachers.
